Two weeks ago, there was a fatal explosion on the offshore oil rig Deepwater Horizon in the Gulf of Mexico. The rig sank shortly afterwards, and since then the well has been leaking crude oil into the Gulf, spreading an oil slick towards the U.S. Gulf Coast. This spill is pouring as many as 5,000 barrels (210,000 gallons) of oil a day into the Gulf and poses a serious threat to coastal industries, sensitive habitats and wildlife, including numerous species along the coastal areas of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. Many government agencies and other organizations have made data publicly available, which we’ve compiled on our crisis response site dedicated to the spill.

Last week we made imagery from NASA’s MODIS available as an overlay for Google Earth, which currently shows the extent of the oil spill through April 29, and we’ll continue to add more imagery as it becomes available. We’ve also made radar images from ESA’s ENVISAT available through this KML file. Below, you can see the progression of the spill over time.

 To view this imagery and other datasets in Google Earth, turn on the “Places of Interest” layer in the Layers panel on the left-hand side of Google Earth, then navigate to the Gulf of Mexico and click on the red icon.

In addition to this imagery, our site contains maps of the locations of the oil, fishing closures and affected areas, the ability to upload videos directly to YouTube, and a link to a site where people in the area can contribute their observations. We hope these resources are useful to those affected by the spill, those responding to it and those learning about its devastating effects on the people and environment of the Gulf Coast.

What’s new and what’s changed?

We’ve added contextually relevant, left-hand navigation to the page. This new side panel highlights the most relevant search tools and refinements for your query. Over the past three years, we've launched Universal Search, the Search Options panel and Google Squared, and it’s those three technologies that power the left-hand panel.

Universal Search helps you find the most relevant types of results for your search. The top section of the new left-hand panel builds on Universal Search by suggesting the most relevant genres of results for your query and letting you seamlessly switch to these different types of results. The “Everything” option remains our essential search experience with different types of results integrated into the main results, but now you can also easily switch to just the particular type of results you are looking for.

Our expandable Search Options panel launched last spring brought many rich slice-and-dice tools to search. The new left-hand navigation showcases these tools and enables you to get a different view of your results. Perhaps you’d like to see images from each of the results or just the newest information? These options are all on the left, and our technology will suggest the tools that are most relevant and helpful to your query.

Google Squared (available on Google Labs) helps you find and compare entities. Our “Something different” feature builds on the technology in Google Squared to find other entities that are related to your query, so you can easily explore not only the results for your current query but other related topics.

In addition to the left-hand side changes, we’ve updated our look and feel in terms of our color palette and our logo. These changes are slight, keeping our page minimalist and whimsical, but make our overall look more modern.

The new design refreshes and streamlines the look, feel and functionality of Google, making it easier to pinpoint what you’re looking for. It’s powerful, yet simple. Today’s changes are the latest in our continuing efforts to evolve and improve Google. We've been testing these changes with users over the past few months, and what we're launching today reflects the feedback we've received.. We want to ensure that the Google you use today is better than the one you used yesterday, and these latest changes open up many possibilities for future features and enhancements.

I asked the VDO project in week1 already in My group in IT topic. I will update week2.

1. Fern finnished to write the script already.

2. We divide work in to each member of my group.

  - Max and Chan are the main character

  - Am and Pomme record the VDO

  - Fern is costume, pick the camera and the writer of script

  - Pomme and Jill cut the VDO

3. Team project problems 

  - Fern forget to send the script to Pomme. We have some of problem to communicate together.

We plan to start VDO on this Friday because in saturday and sunday, we will cut the VDO and edit it ready to submit with A.Krisee on next tuesday.

Script...

 Jack is the waelth man. He like to turn on air conditioner and TV. He like convenience. He drive a car in that no way far. Everybody tell him about his activities that make more pollution and increase CO2 in the air but he doesn't care what they say. He continues his activities regularly.  Jack is falling in love with Rose. Rose is one of friends in his group. She is very beautiful, gorgeous and so grace. Many men fall in love with her. Regardless of Jack really really love Rose but he doesn't tell her before.

 Next seventh months, During the time that Jack sleep in his luxury penthouse. He feels wet and open his eyes, he found his body float on the water and have a branch of tree on his hold hand. He cannot finds anything except water around his body. Heis thinking carefully about this situation that he meets. Dumkung, Teunk, and Rose float become near Jack's body. They don't know what time that they float on the water but they feel they float too long time ago. They survive because they find the can that float on the water. During their enjoy their food in the can. Strom fly Dumkung, Teunk.

In that situation, Jack tell something to Rose "I Love You Rose" and Rose agrees with him because nobody can survive only Jack and Rose. Jack sacrifice the branch of tree to Rose and Jack's body has no power to fight cause of high temporary in the water. He is drowning into the cold water and lost!!! Then. In during that Jack drow, he can listen something like a sound of solid. Immediatly, He is hurry wake up on his bed and he feels why my legs is wet, then he finds his pee on his bed.That sound like a solid come from Dumkung knock the Jack's room and coming in his room. Jack describes his dream what he meets. Jack afraid of his dream will be come true.

He promise about his activities that break the world. He will open air conditioner in 25-degree celcious and doesn't not turn on the light, TV if he doesn't use, He will ride a bike in near way. After that, Jack invites everybody to plant the trees.

Next one year, Jack does everything that he says and plants the trees in his free times. Nowaday, Jack has the big garden in his house. Rose visite Jack's garden with Dumkung and Teunk. Finally, Jack is sitting on the knees and pick the flower to Rose. Jack ask "I Love You to Rose". Rose recieves Jack's flower and they hug together. Rose thinks in her mind about they will be lovely couples. Rose tell Jack "We should plant tge tree like make our love together." Dumkung and Teunk shout "DO IT NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE."

Appple is the big corporation that make technology product for people needs. They has new product called "iPad". It is a new product but look like same with iPhone and increase size of its. iPad is the tablet touchscreen that is the new technology from apple. Nowaday, no any business that can make the touchscreen mobile phone like iPhone. It is very very flexible, comfortable,and it is the fastest touchscreen that cell phone be.

 It can use internet, reading news papers, watching TV, movies, listening music and so on. It has high resolution on touchscreen and energy-efficient.

Apple has many product that entertain needs of people. They have new version of iPod nano which can take the photo and recording the video.

"This is the old version of iPod nano." 

"Newer version!!"

They have some limited edition. They give some money that they can sell this iPod nano to help Aids people in africa.  

iPod classic has more capacity and it is the highest capacity of iPod series because it has maximum capacity is 180GB or above.

iPod shuffle is the smallest size but it has 1GB or above.In this picture is the new version and design of iPod shuffle.

And the new product that surprise many people around the world is iPod Touch. It likes a iPhone but slimer, faster, comfortable than iPhone.

"In left hand is iPod Touch and right is iPhone."

 Next, The application software that support to transfer the musics, games, video etc. is iTunes.

Finally, Apple co. has the concept of iPhone 4G. They upgrade and add more application and connecting in this product and can use 4G (New generation of internet world wide)

We stick our poster oppposite SM102. In this board has two poster's qroups. It has poster's group 7 and our 9.

 "This is our poster at the top right in the board."

We  plan to divide work to each member. My group has Fern, Amm, Chan, Jill, Pomm and Max.

Fern, Write script and write the details what should we do and When willl we start to do the video.

Amm, Chan, Max, Jill, Fern is artist.

Jill and Pomm cut the video.

Pomm record video.

Max stand by props and place that we will record the video.

We plan the video will done before Final exam one week.

We will give more details of this project soon!!! This is a planning of my group.

New Update!!!

Fern give the concept that is our movies already. It is about flood in the global. It causes of ice in the north pole and south pole are melt.

We will use the handycam to capture and record our movie.

   

And We will use aplication software is Windows movie maker and visual studio 2008 pro edition.

Finally, I will ask about script, team problem and location later because I have to go to take the photo around location that we will take recording the video.

The new of IT available is Google Swirl. It has looked more different than before. It can search the picture very very fast and new face. Google is is a multnational public cloud computing and Internet search technologies corporation. They is a profit organization. They join with Youtube to make more profit and high effectiveness and efficiently. Google has more application that help your routine and daily life. Google maps is the first navigator that many people use it to help and find where has more traffic jam and find the restuarant that you want to go, weather,and so on. They use it to help and support your rush hours.

Google translate is the first online-program that help you when you use another web-site or web that your computer cannot read the word. It is very comfortable for you.

Google talk is looked like same MSN. It is a chat engine. It can find the other friends from the other countries that want to have more friends and make a new connection. But It is not popular in Thai because more Thai people use MSN and BB(Black Berry) to chat with your friends and use Facebook, Hi5, Twistter and so on.

 Now Google has new available that is new looked. It is Google Swirl. It is a new picture search engine. It has a new face and fast to find the pictures and use very very easy.

It will take a branch and when you click it. It is a new looked of search engine that produce by Google. But It is a beta to use. It will develop more than now because they have many competitors and many search engine. For example: Yahoo, Wiki pedia, Bling, and others of Google's competitors. Google will become the stockholder of Yotube that means video search engine of the world. They join to make the profit together and produce more product. Google will make the new cell phone that looked like iPhone's Apple computer incorperation. It name is Android phone.

It is the touch screen phone and can use wifi, internet, EDGE, and 3G. It is the competitor of iPhone.

Google will develop and  upgrade their product to achieve its goals.

 I have computer when I was 12 years old. My uncle bought it for me because he saws me to go to the internet cafe when my primary school's teacher gave the report to me.It was a poor computer but It helpedme all things that i want to do. In seven years ago, I used a poor internet. It ran 10-20Kbp/s and when I want to search anything. I had to go to seven-eleven and buy internet card to use user and password to join into the internet. Then, I want to open the wed page, I must wait around 1-2 minutes to open this page so clearly. The technology in 7 years ago was very poor. But now The technology has developed.

 

 Today, The most technology has developed and it is non-stop to developed. It is being the first thing that every people think and want it. Most people use computer everyday because computer can search and find everythings that you want and do it better than find in the library. Computer can use more easier than before, the window is so clearly and it has more guide book that how to use it many languages and easy to understand. I buy my new computer last year ago. It is very good for me. It is the fastest when last year ago. Now, the new technology has more available, new OS, new style, new looked and so on. The technology is very important for our because every people must communicate with others and tranlate the information all the time. For example: cell phone, internet, car, train and vehicle. The producer has new innovation and new creativity to produce the new technology to help people comfortably. People need comfort and relaxation. They will find everything that make them comfort and rest.

 

 

Finally, The technology has advantages and disadvantage that effect to people. I will write in other entries because I must seperate what is advantage or disadvantage for each people. How will i do without IT and how to live without IT? That is the question to ask about yourself. IT gives you to get more friend, isn't it? and others.
